This week we spoke to two schools in Kyrene School District in Tempe about placing Towergardens in their schools for the upcoming school year.  The teachers are beyond excited to use this tool in their classrooms!  The classrooms will use the Towergarden as a way to observe plant life as it relates to educational standards. Learning about the Towergarden encourages students to eat more fruits and vegetables for snacks, especially if they can eat what is grown. An additional benefit may be that students will encourage families to start gardens at home.  We also applied for a grant in Tempe to cover one of the gardens and had conversations with the City of Tempe about another grant for the beginning of the school year.
