1. In September, we won a $25,000 State Farm Neighborhood Assist Grant to install energy-efficient windows in a low-income neighborhood in Mesa. Tuesday, December 19, at 10:00am, State Farm is presenting us with the check at Mesa City Hall. Some members of the city government will be there, and we’d love for you to join us if you can!
2. We had a great second presentation at Save the Family, an organization which transitions families out of homelessness. We discussed ways to save money and the environment at the same time, and quizzed ourselves on sorting recyclables according to the City of Mesa’s current guidelines. Thanks to Target and a generous individual donor, we had a drawing for thermal curtains, power strips, a reusable water bottle, and LED bulbs.
