by Jim Moule

On October 31,  Ashley Camhi and Jim Moule gave a short presentation to the City of Tempe 100% Renewable Energy Workgroup on our recommendations to best achieve their goal of 100% Renewable Energy. There were only two non-profit organizations invited to present and the other one is a national organization with full time paid staff.

AZSA has been asked to participate in a solar/clean energy event in Goodyear, AZ, sponsored by the Conservative Alliance for Solar Energy (CASE) on November 9, at 10:00 AM. This event is expected to have press coverage. Jim Moule will give a short presentation and participate in a Q &A.  We will be discussing the SRP election for Board of Directors and how we can help pro-renewable energy candidates.

David Slater has become very busy with school work and his full time job so has stepped down as co-chair of the Renewable Energy Priority Workgroup. Jim Moule will chair the group until a new co-chair has been selected. Thank you David for you hard work and we look forward to your continued participation in the workgroup activities. The next meeting of the Renewable Energy Priority Workgroup with be Sunday, November 12th at 1:00 PM, at the Tempe Public Library at Rural and Southern. We plan to solidify this group by forming a core of members who want to be a permanent part of this important part of sustainability. If you would like to be part of this workgroup, please plan to attend the meeting on Sunday.
