Food tech for the future Finale event.png

This week we hosted the finale event for our Food Tech For The Future: Growing Digital Farmers pilot project at Glendale High School. Our team and Science Club students presented our successes to Microsoft and showcased the two food computers that we built and are using for research and experimentation. We even used some of the basil that the students grew to garnish our pizza! It was such a fun event, and we can’t wait to expand this project to more schools in the future. In June we will begin building a food computer for AZSA. If you are interested in getting involved in this project, please let me know.

On May 22 we will be helping the schools breakdown the gardens as part of our Sow It Forward: Vertical Garden Program. We still need help, so if you’d like to join this event, please send me an email and I can fill you in on the details.

Our next Food Systems Monthly Meeting will be held on May 31 from 6-7 pm at The Grand in Downtown Phoenix. This is a great chance to hear about all of the projects we are working on and how you can get involved!
