Join us for a tree planting in Buckeye at the Blue Horizons community! This planting is part of our Tree Stewards program, where community members are trained in tree planting and care in order to become sustainability leaders in their neighborhoods.

Event Time: 8:00 am- 12:00 pm
Event Location: Ted Williams Park, Blue Horizons community- adjacent to 19650 W Harrison St, Buckeye, AZ 85326 residence

Event Logistics:

• AZSA is hosting a tree planting at Ted Williams Park in Blue Horizons and we need your help!

• We will plant 40 trees

• Volunteers will arrive at the event, sign in, and grab food while they wait for further instructions

• An AZSA staff person will gather everyone to provide a brief introduction, a safety lesson, and a tree-planting demonstration

• Volunteers will grab tools and move trees to the pre-marked holes to begin digging

• Volunteers will follow the instructions they received, but will also be able to ask questions to an AZSA staff person

• AZSA staff will be walking around with additional tools to provide them as needed

• There will be other tasks needed that are not planting-related and will be highlighted on the day of the event

• Expect to get dirty, dig in hard soil, and have fun!
